Patchy clouds line the skies once again this morning, veiling what is most likely a stunning sunrise for folks elsewhere. Odds are they won’t let go for a while, especially as there’s a slight chance of rain showers until we cross into the afternoon. Hopefully by tonight the air will clear and afford guests a chance to soak in those iconic views from the top. Temps are in the upper 50s currently and should reach the mid 60s later. Any winds will be light to nonexistent over the crest, especially now that the tropical storm to our east is well enough away. This weekend and the next few days after are all looking fantastic for rambles in the woods. Talking sunny skies and what should be endless views of ridges upon ridges. Locals and weekend warriors will assuredly be out in force to take advantage of the weather. So consider hitting those trailheads early to avoid the crowds and come prepared for sitting in traffic during peak travel times.
Have a great day.
