Aside from getting a bit darker than usual for mid-afternoon, there wasn’t much of a solar eclipse to enjoy for East Tennessee yesterday. Although that could have just been the clouds getting thicker at the same time. We’ll just have to let the show we were treated to in 2017 under exemplary skies satisfy us for another couple decades til the next one.
Speakng of clouds, they’ll be the dominate storyline this week along with the steady rain that should be rolling in this morning. Wet and dreary conditions are expected to persist much of the day. Temps will sit tight in the 40s, but winds will also be gusting at times near 40mph which will add a chilly bite to the air. Layer up for staying both dry and warm today if you don’t want your time on trail to be super sub-par. Tomorrow looks mostly cloudy, then another heavy dose of rain returns for Thursday. Look at the positives…if we’re to enjoy all those pretty flowers for the next couple months, some rain mixed in here and there is essential!
Have a great day.
