A rising sun and streaking clouds at various elevations are making for a tantalizing sunrise this Tuesday morning. It should be another beautiful late summer day in the Smokies. Clouds and sunshine will share the skies today as temps continue to hover between upper 50s and 60s, superb for hiking the mountain. Tomorrow will offer more of the same until Thursday when it appears we have rain and storm chances on the docket. After that front pushes through, slightly cooler temps arrive for the weekend which will certainly have everyone getting excited for autumn. Now that we’re past Labor Day, families have wrapped up their summer vacations and the kiddos are back in school. Congestion in the national park typically eases off a bit these next few weeks until the leaves start to change, save for pleasant weekends of course. Then it’s back to crowded roads and trails in October. Until then, enjoy these delightful last days of summer greens.
Have a great day.
