The rain gauge is getting a workout lately, compiling nearly 2.5” over the holiday weekend. The solar panels…not so much. It’s a gray mountain top to start this Tuesday, and the drips of water cascading from rooftops can be heard all around camp. A break in the action is expected this morning, although the cloud cover is unlikely to shake off. By this afternoon the rain chances return, so come prepared for wet conditions and don’t be fooled if it looks pleasant elsewhere outside the park. Temps will likely sit in the 50s here again today accompanied by light winds. The clouds and mist will make having an extra layer or two feel good, especially once one’s body has adjusted to the climate after the ascent. Wednesday’s forecast is shaping up to be quite similar, with a calm morning followed by a precip-filled afternoon.
Have a great day.
