It might be August but summer is far from over in the mountains. Clouds and rain chances dominate the skies and the headlines again today. Expect strong storm chances to increase as the afternoon hours press on. Winds will also kick it up a notch today, with gusts of 45mph possible at times. Temps will hover between the 50s and 60s, but the rough weather will certainly add a wet chill to anyone caught out in the elements. So far the rest of the week’s forecast looks turbulent as well, so continue to pack accordingly if an overnight stay is in your future. The coneflower are in high tide, and now the white snakeroot are filling in nicely. Despite the gloomy
clouds, simply let the rest of nature’s beauty brighten your day.
Have a great start to the new month.
