After a stunning sunrise of pinks and oranges, folks are waking up to partly sunny skies on the mountain. The bees are back at work bouncing between coneflowers, and the little fawns are grazing the grasses among the cabins. Hikers should have a decent morning to get started on the trails before conditions turn turbulent this afternoon. After lunch time the chances for rain and thunder flare up. Temps will be a bit cool in the 50s and 60s with light winds. Sunday is calling for more of the same. Ri f the rain gear and watch for rising creeks if the clouds unload all at once.
