What started as a pleasant and sun-filled weekend is sure to finish that way. Mostly clear skies and bright sunlight are back again this Sunday and will make for some great hiking in the park’s upper elevations. Temps will continue to be on the warm side, ranging from mid 50s to mid 60s at the lodge, while the lowlands won’t be shaking the humidity or near 90° readings anytime soon. With any luck, the peaks could enjoy the occasional breeze which will help stave off a searing August sun. Monday and early Tuesday are calling for more of the same before cloudy conditions and slight rain chances make their return to the forecast. So if you are in town these next few days, be sure and take advantage, but also come prepared for staying healthy and hydrated on trail. Those less-oppressive days of September are still several weeks away!
Have a great day.
