Waking up to breathtaking sunrises day after day just never gets old. You’d be hard pressed to find someone residing on the mountain currently who’s ungrateful to experience such a sight, especially if they’ve stayed here prior and the weather conditions have been less than ideal. But there are no worries to be had in that department this week. Aside from a few passing clouds, skies above and around the Smokies will continue to offer plenty of sunshine now and into the weekend. The slightest of rain chances are possible these next couple days, but nothing that should dampen anyone’s plans for getting outside and enjoying nature. This brief cool spell is about to end, as high temps at the lodge will rise back toward the 70s with lows in the upper 50s. Summer is far from over, so let’s not slack on the hydration and nutrition!
The landscaping around the lodge has just about greened up as best it can. Now and over the next month is when colors will be at their most vibrant, as yellows, oranges, reds, and whites all appear and flourish. The scenery makes for some of the sweetest eye candy, and the pollinators sure take full advantage. And remember, all flowers here and inside the national park are NOT for picking.
Have a great day.
