Patchy clouds dot the skies above the mountain this Thursday morning with splashes of color from a sweet sunrise. And that’s after a captivating rainbow and soothing sunset graced the mountain last night. The atmosphere will bring more sunny skies to the Smokies today with a slight chance of popup showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Tomorrow’s forecast looks like a repeat, then the possibility for turbulent weather looks much stronger for the weekend. Temps will only get into the lower 60s today and tomorrow combined with light winds. Hard to believe we’re down to just under 11 weeks remaining in the season. Come on up and see the flowers before they wilt and whither away from the cold!
