We’re thankful for mostly clear and sunny skies over the mountains to kickoff this Friday. Hikers hitting the trails early
today should have a pleasant time rambling up or down before clouds thicken this afternoon and the precip chances return late this evening. Temps today will continue to hang out in the 50s with a possibility at cracking 60° later. Winds will start off light but switch to stronger gusts of 20mph tonight once storms begin to enter the region. Saturday through Monday is calling for a substantial presence of rain, so gear up properly and come ready for wet conditions over the coming days. What little autumn color we get to partake around the lodge is already swinging into action. The mountain ash trees are transforming briefly into their annual end-of-summer golds, but heavy rains this weekend could send those few pretty leaves packing quickly. Even the witch hobble bushes up top are producing some reds.
Have a great day.
