After a deluge dropped nearly an inch of rain during the night, the mountaintop is sitting thick in gray fog. Views will likely be difficult to come by today, at least from the peaks. We have a slight chance for some more afternoon showers before skies hopefully clear off a bit tonight. Temps are in the mid 50s and will probably stay there all day. Winds are nonexistent at the moment, adding to the eery calm smothering the mountain. Thursday morning looks like pleasant weather is in store for folks hitting the trail early, but then precip chances could flare up late afternoon. Watch for heightened creek crossings and slick places on trail after what’s been a soggy past several days.
Have a great day.
