Clouds and a pitter-patter on rooftops. That was the story of yesterday, and will be the continuing story into this Sunday. We tallied 3/4 of an inch of rainfall so far, and although there is a break in the action this morning, another round of precip is heading this way. We’re expecting persistent bands all afternoon and evening today. The region is also under a Flood Watch deep into Monday night at 8:00 PM. Given the extended forecast for the week ahead, it’s entirely possible that watch gets prolonged. So use caution on trail paying careful attention to slick spots and wet crossings. Temps will likely spend most of their time in the 50s and light winds will pass over the peaks. Layer up with warmth and rain shells if you want to have as comfortable a hike as possible.
Have a great day.
