It was slow to get going, but finally around dinner time yesterday the skies decided to unload some substantial rain. After receiving another solid inch of liquid precip on the mountain, folks can expect wet trails as they hit the trail today. Since dawn, the sun has been teasing us with glimpses of bright light and blue sky, but the clouds are relentless on their stranglehold of the summit currently. Conditions are expected clear off for this afternoon and lead into a beautiful weekend for travelers. Temps should range from the lower 50s to lower 60s these next couple days. Winds over the peak will be light. After such a long stint of turbulent skies, expect a surge in vehicular and foot traffic in the park this weekend.
Have a great day.
