The clouds unloaded on us yesterday afternoon for about an hour. After that, we were back to mostly clear skies by supper time, eventually affording guests a delightful sunset. The clouds are holding firm to the mountain so far today, but the steady winds seem to be trying to push them out of town. Hopefully by late this afternoon we’ll be basking in sunny skies like everyone else. It’s going to be cool up top today, especially with these 25mph gusts, as high temps likely won’t escape the 50s this weekend. The extended forecast looks stellar though for up here, and warmer temps will return come Monday. Expect crowds to be flocking to the mountains and creating plenty of congestion on trail, in parking lots, and along roadways weaving through the Smokies.
Have a great rest of the day.
