After a calm night under the stars and crescent moon, folks are waking up to a cloudy mountain top to start this Thursday. Looks we will be in and out of the grey veil most of the day, with strong potential for spotty thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Don’t be deceived by any occasional glimpses of the sun, as wet weather can pop up at a moments notice this time of year. Temps will feel good around the lodge as we move up from the lower 50s this morning into the mid 60s this afternoon. Winds could pick up a bit today gusting as much as 20mph. The grounds continue to green and thicken around the lodge with each passing day. The deer sure are loving the endless buffet, as it’s not unusual to see them roaming and feasting between cabins. Remember to respect their space, as well as all wildlife in the park, while visiting.
Have a great day.
