Barely into the third month of the calendar year and already hitting this shorts and t-shirt weather hard. But after this coming weekend, Old Man Winter is gonna return from his brief getaway and bring some frigid temps back with him. Alas, that won’t keep us from enjoying what we’ve got here and now. Sensational skies high above the Smokies!
The mountain tapped an otherwise toasty 55° yesterday, and our low was 35°. Today and stepping into the weekend, the thermometer should read similarly, but the clouds should gradually thicken with only a slight chance of an afternoon rain shower by Sunday. Winds are also going to pick up a tad with gusts reaching their strongest speeds tomorrow, up around 40mph at times.
There’s more than 11.5 hours of daylight these days, and that means more time to explore nature. So get out there and seize that mountain moment!
